How fast could you climb 699 steps on Jacobs Ladder? My PB is 7:23 🏆 This is Jacobs Ladder, one of the world’s steepest staircases and it climbs a crazy 183 meters to the top covering only 282 meters in distance with an average incline of 39-41 degrees. It was built in 1829 to haul goods up to Ladder Hill Fort and the village of Half Tree Hollow but was decommissioned years later. Now it’s a great little challenge for anyone who is willing to dare their lungs to give it a go. @st.helena.tourism
