Today, September 22, 2025, is the 40th anniversary of the first BMX Freestyle contest in Ohio. (This is Wes Bourne competing that day) The contest took place at Eastland Schwinn in Columbus, and was the beginning of a five year run of local BMX freestyle contests and weekend riding clinics.
