BMW N47 Full Timing Chain and Cylinder Head Installation. • Today we are performing a complete rebuild of the BMW N47 engine, which in this case was installed in a Toyota Verso under the designation 1WW. • The issue started when the engine wouldn’t start, and during cranking it was clear there was no compression. This immediately suggested an internal failure related to the upper timing chain. Such a failure is a very common problem for N47 engines: • the upper timing chain stretches, • the chai
