DELAWARE COUNTY, N.Y. (WBNG) -- Around 10 weather stations across Delaware County are helping residents and the government stay more weather aware. Officials with the Delaware County Board of Supervisors deployed the stations in late November.
A cold weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Jan. 23, along with a winter storm warning.
According to AccuWeather.com, Delaware will receive 4 to 5 inches of snow and face extremely cold temperatures over the weekend. Overnight lows will drop into the teens with single digit wind chills. The cold streak will flow into next week.
Rain and snow is expected in the early morning throughout New Castle County before it turns into snow around 8 a.m., creating slippery roads.
