The Kīlauea summit has inflated by 23 microradians since the end of Episode 39 on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2025, including an increase of at least 1.3 microradians within the past 24 hours. Slight deflation happened at about 5 a.m. today when the south vent overflowed, then increased somewhat at 7 a.m. when both vents became active.

Mayon Volcano sends lava, pyroclastic flow downslope as dome collapses
The Mayon Volcano is exhibiting signs of increasing unrest, with bright red magma and glowing pyroclastic density currents called "uson" continuing to stream from its summit as the lava dome collapses.
MAYON Volcano remains restive and continued to spit out molten lava and plumes on Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported. Located in Albay, Mayon is famous for having a near-perfect cone.
