The US military could use an airbase near Swindon as part of its military operation in Iran, reports have suggested.
Concerns over international law have led the UK to block the Trump administration from using its military air bases for a potential strike on Iran.

“The United States has requested permission to use British bases for that specific and limited defensive purpose,” Starmer said. “We have taken the decision to accept this request to prevent Iran firing missiles across the region, killing innocent civilians, putting British lives at risk.”
The MoD said they were responding to the attack at RAF Akrotiri at around midnight local time.
Sky News understands the UK has given the U.S. access to use Diego Garcia and RAF Fairford military bases to prevent Iran firing missiles across the Middle East.
