The Los Angeles Angels claimed a right-handed relief pitcher off waivers from the New York Yankees on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Angels claimed right-handed pitcher Osvaldo Bido off waivers from Miami, reinforcing pitching depth before the 2026 season.

Nick Sandlin is the newest Angels addition, a free agent right-handed pitcher who most recently pitched with the Toronto Blue Jays. Sandlin's deal was reported Monday afternoon by Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

Castros has pitched for the Blue Jays, Rockies, Orioles, Mets, Yankees, Diamondbacks and White Sox. He had a rough 2025, getting only six games in at the MLB level with Chicago and allowing five earned runs in 6.0 innings. His career ERA is a more palatable 4.24.
