A family was shooting off fireworks on a private dock when some other fireworks ignited and detonated early, according to the coroner's office.

OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man died on Saturday following a fireworks explosion in the Upstate. According to the Oconee County Coroner’s Office, at 9:25 p.m. Oconee County 911 received a call about a reported fireworks explosion on a private dock at Lake Keowee.
